The family and friends of Lorine Horton are posting this fundraiser to help Stop the Pain. Lorine has atrophy and multiple DDD.

Lorine's Smile is her umbrella

Have you ever watched your mother cry because she is in so much pain? Have you ever felt helpless in your efforts to find relief? Not anymore! The Horton Family is joining forces and looking for your support to help Lorine get the treatment she need. Here is her story: In May 2012, Lorine Horton was diagnosed with atrophy and multiple degenerative disc disease which is causing severe pain. Atrophy is causing Lorine’s arm to weaken and wither. The collapsing disc and bone spurs are causing nerve damage and chronic pain in her neck, shoulder and arm. She is losing physical ability and range of motion. Lorine has severely impacted vertebrae which causes pain and inability to sit for periods of time. She has to fight to get treatment because she lost her job of 19 years and her insurance. Now, she has to worry about pain and bills. Lorine has always been there for her family and friends. When she was 7 years old, every day before she went to school, she would get up at 4 am and cooked breakfast for her blind father. Years later, she cared for her estranged mother, who later died from breast cancer. Lorine cared for her husband, who suffered from a stroke until he died. She also cares for her disabled daughter. Lorine is a kind, generous and a compassionate person and through all this opposition she is still trying to hold on to her smile. Lorine has always been praised for her smile. At her former job, she was told her smile was contagious and that it was her umbrella. In her congregation, she is known for her friendly smile and sweet personality. Everyone she meet comment on her smile. But lately, the smile is being replaced by illness and pain. We can change this hopeless situation. With all of US joining forces to support her, Lorine can regain the vigor and strength she had to do the thing she love. PLEASE DONATE AND HELP US STOP HER PAIN If you would like to contact the Horton family you can contact us via email: hortonserina@yahoo.com or call 256-337-6090.
