Ethan was diagnosed with Stage IV Thymic Carcinoma in January 2014

Background:

Ethan spent his 34th birthday at Duke Hospital, receiving his first CT scan. After the scan, Ethan took a few days off from work, to get testing and a biopsy. He was diagnosed three weeks later and unfortunately he was unable to return to work, as he was needing to start treatment immediately. He spent a full year receiving chemo and radiation therapy. We scanned every 90 days, and Ethan's tumor did not reduce in size.

Today:
In late 2015, we discovered a clinical trial being conducted by Dr. Giaccone, at Medstar Hospital at Georgetown University. This trial was for Immunotherapy and was only for Thymic Carcinoma patients. This was an answered prayer! We spent a few months doing research and visiting with our team of oncologists to prepare for this new journey.
Ethan started the trial on April 1st, 2016. He will be required to travel to Washington, DC to Georgetown University Hospital to receive the infusion every 3 weeks.

We are creating this page for our friends and family to have an opportunity to help! We are asked a lot- what can we do? how can we help? Honestly, we are not good at asking for help, or at saying "yes!" when someone offers!
The truth: We would love any help God lays on your heart to do!

We have created this page to help with four areas:
1) Financially (money will be used for hotels, gas, and food for trips to DC, and any unexpected medical bills)

2) Food - bringing or sending meals

3) A Wish list - an opportunity to send gift cards, gas cards, and purchase household items

4) Send love and support to Ethan
