The family and friends of Stephanie are uniting to raise money to help with her battle. Please join us and show your support

Stephanie (my mom) has been battling breast cancer for almost 5 years now. She was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in May of 2007. She has undergone MANY surgeries since then. She had a brief remission in 2008 - but that was short lived. Her cancer metastisized into her lungs and soft tissue in her shoulder. She also has lumps in various lymph nodes in her neck. She has been enduring many years of chemotherapy. While going through these treatments, she still managed to keep working and taking care of us kids, Lucas (5) and Suzy (16). This year however, her cancer spread to her brain and she had had to stop working and had to have a brain tumor removed. That was a terrible month. Her husband is unable to work because of the care he has to give to Stephanie (mostly having to drive her everywhere). Not to mention, the lack of employment where they live. Anyway, the tumor was successfully removed from her brain and several weeks of radiation to her head is now complete and she is back to going to regular chemotherapy sessions. Stephanie is a strong woman - unwilling to give up this battle. She wants to see her children grow up and she always manages to stay confident that someday they will give her the cure so that she can get on with her life. Yes, there are times when she wonders if all the pain and sickness is worth it - and we remind her that we love her so much and we want to keep her around and that usually kicks her back into gear and the fight continues!!

Our worries right now are that it is very difficult to keep a roof over her family's head. She is in constant fear that her family will be homeless. They have lost enough to this terrible disease, starting with their first home and then most recently their car. They are barely making it month to month with all the medical expenses that have plagued them over the years. Our hope is to find kind-hearted people out there who, along with her family, can help her. If she can't make the payments, she will no longer be able to get the medicine she needs to keep her with us. Please help and God Bless.
