In the blink of an eye, your life can change due to disease. Your goals, dreams and priorities are forced to take different turns.

We created this to help Khale's family mounting expenses associated in getting Khale to his many doctor appointments, uncovered medical expenses and daily expenses affected by the mounting medical.

Khale has doctors in Milwaukee, Wi; Chicago, IL and in the Twin Cities.

Khale was born in May 2011 with a rare disorder called Amniotic Band Syndrome(ABS). ABS occurs when the fetus becomes entangled in fibrous string-like amniotic bands in the womb, restricting blood flow and affecting the baby’s development. If a band wraps tightly around a limb, the limb can actually be completely amputated. He is provided care through Shriner's Hospital for Children in Chicago and will also go to Minnesota. October 2011 Khale's health began to decline. He was sick alot and developed a myriad of health problems. His growth became and issue as he started dropping off the growth curve, eventually ending up at the ZERO percentile. October 2011-November 2012 Khale now has 7 specialists he works with. October 2012 Khale's health again declined even more suddenly than before. Everything he eats comes back out and he is rapidly losing weight. He is now down to 19lbs at 18 months old. November 2012, Khale was diagnosed with yet another extremely rare disease, Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome(SDS). Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, bone marrow dysfunction, leukemia predisposition, and skeletal abnormalities. Prognosis for individuals with the disorder is uncertain. Because Schwachman-Diamond syndrome was described relatively recently, limited data are available regarding follow-up in these patients. Here is Khale's laundry list of diagnoses: Amniotic Band Syndrome Respiratory difficulties; reactive airways disease(asthma) Recurring pneumonia Rashes Greasy/mucusy stool Unformed, soft, runny stool Swallowing inconsistency Feeding/eating problems Failure to thrive Malabsorption Severe iron deficiency Small cell count Sensory issues Bone deficiency; syndactyly, fused bones; lack of bone growth, deformed bones Neutropenia Pancreatic Insufficiency Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome
