The family and friends of Jackson Solis are uniting to raise money to attend a very important Mastocytosis conference in Boston.

Jackson is a sweet, happy two year old boy who brings so much joy to his family. You might not notice it at first glance, but Jackson has a rare, incurable, life threatening disease called Mastocytosis.

He was born with it and diagnosed at 8 months of age. It started out with brown spots appearing over his body. It has since spread to his internal organs as well. Some of the side effects of this horrible disease are skin lesions, abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, infections, ear, nose & throat inflammation, anaphylaxis, episodes of very low blood pressure (including shock), faintness, bone & muscle pain, headache, ocular discomfort & malabsorption. Sometimes Jackson will cry in pain for hours and there is nothing we can do to help him. As a parent, it is the most helpless feeling in the world.

The good news is that there is a medical conference coming up in October. It is the 2011 Annual Mastocytosis Conference that will be held in Boston. The best doctors in Mastocytosis research will conduct several lectures in the new Center of Excellence for Mastocytosis in Boston. This trip would be a chance of a lifetime for us to meet with doctors who research Mastocytosis and it would give us an opportunity to meet other families who are affected by this disease.

Our family sincerely appreciates your prayers and support for helping Jackson in any way you can. Thank you so much and may God bless you.
