7 year old Jesse James Stratton is now disabled, but with your help and prayers, maybe not permanently.
Our son, Jesse James, suffered a traumatic brain injury as the effect of his near drowning accident on April 28, 2012. We have been unable to work since Jesse's accident. Although Alicia has returned to work, she makes barely enough to pay the household bills. Jesse needs your help! We are trying to raise the funds to pay for home therapy equipment. Every day that Jesse gets to go to his therapy sessions, he makes new improvements. Unfortunately, he only goes to therapy twice a week. We have been told by several doctors that the first year is the most important. If we can manage to purchase the equipment he needs, Jesse will recieve therapy everyday. He is trying so hard to regain the use of his body and is completely aware of his surroundings. He is already using his eyes to track things much better, following simple commands (like head-butt Daddy), and is learning how to control many of his muscle movements. His therapists also believe that with daily therapy, Jesse stands a much better chance at having a mostly normal life. Please, we need all of the help we can get. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thanks to everyone for your prayers and support!
