The friends and family of Megan Coulter Lee are surronding her with love and uniting to raise money to help with her Stage IV breast cancer.

Megan is a 33 year old wife and mother. Her son Gage will be two years old this fall. Within months after welcoming her son into this world, in the fall of 2010, Megan learned that she had Stage III, triple negative breast cancer. Upon further testing, it was also confirmed that she was BRCA positive. After enduring neo-adjuvent chemo a mastectomy and radiation, Megan entered a clinical trial and received additional chemo in hopes of securing a cancer free future. On June 16th of this year, she learned, that despite their best efforts, the cancer had returned and spread outside of the breast. Here is her first entry on her newly created Caring Bridge page:

"Since I have not had a caring bridge site before, I thought I would update everyone to the latest in my cancer journey. I appreciate and am humbled to know that so many care to know how I am doing. So here goes... on June 16 I learned that my breast cancer had spread to my left eye. On June 18, the diagnosis was confirmed by a specialist. On June 20, I saw my oncologist who had concerns that the cancer may have spread even further. By the end of the day on the 20th, I learned that the cancer is in my brain and most likely my right lung. I began radiation therapy to my brain and eye on June 21. I also began oral chemotherapy that was then halted by my oncologist because of concerns that it would be too much for my body at once. I will resume the chemo after radiation. The plan is for 10 radiation treatments (3 already down) and then the oral chemo that is expected to do well at getting the cancer in all of the areas. My oncologist was very honest with us at the last appointment. In his medical opinion, if the radiation does not halt or destroy the cancer in my brain, my time is very limited. It is crazy to me that I can be sitting here now and think in two months that I may not be on this earth. I am praying and I know many of you are as well for a miracle! He also shared that even if the cancer goes into remission, with the current treatments available, he would expect that I have about 4 years. Again, I am dumbfounded. We need a CURE NOW! I need a cure now! I try to keep upbeat and think positive, but it has been difficult. Please continue to pray for me and my family. Your love and support is greatly appreciated."

Please support this family with a gift during this difficult time. All money raised will be given to the Lee's for out of pocket medical expenses and co-pays. For any of you that has faced a cancer diagnosis, you know these costs can be staggering.

Please also join us in prayer for Megan and her family. Pray for guidance for her medical team, pray for Megan both emotionally and physically, pray for her family and pray for a cure. We are praying that Megan is our miracle!
