With your help, Jay can focus on beating cancer instead of worrying about the debt that's piling up from his treatments.
For those who know Jay, we’re sure you're here because you love him to pieces. But for those who may not know him, we’d like to explain why our mission is so heartfelt.
His personality is warm and inviting, Jay’s the kind of guy you hug the very first time you meet him.
He’s full of integrity. You see it in the way he adores his wife Heather and his sons Angus and Ignatius.
He's passionate. Whatever Jay sets his mind to he executes like an absolute craftsman. Whether it’s cooking up an amazing dish or taking photos that blow your mind, Jay always makes you wonder, “How’d he do that?”
Jay is just a really joyful person, which makes his situation feel all the more unfair.
You see, Jay lost a gamble, a gamble many of us have taken.
After going back to school to turn his love of photography into a career, he lost insurance coverage when he graduated last spring.
At the time, adding Jay to Heather's medical plan was an additional expense they just couldn't afford. He was healthy, they were having a new baby, and overall things were looking bright. He'd get the job he wanted and have benefits real soon.
That was until Jay noticed a small lump on his neck while visiting family over the holidays.
No one wants to hear they have cancer, but Jay is Mr. Positive. He knows he can beat it. His doctors know he can beat it. We know he can beat it.
What’s important is that he has the ability to focus on getting better rather than the fact that every life-saving chemo treatment comes with more bills and more stress.
Let's help Jay beat this thing!
Donations can be made online here or sent directly to a fund set up for Jay through his parish in Mississippi.
Please let us know if you choose to mail a check instead of donating online so we can thank you.
