I'm raising for money to start a craft business to ultimately assist in crucial funding for MS research. WE NEED A CURE!

Hi!

I'm a 31 year old diagnosed with MS in February 2011.

In the wake of my denial, I recently, (after being stubborn for almost two years) - gave my situation to the big guy in the sky, God.  I patiently waited for his answer, which was:  Slow down & Accept the limitations in this new life. I realized, I can become independent of this disease in a new and inspiring way that is within my reach if I work for it.

I have MS, but it doesn't have me.

Some days, I'm unable to walk completely, and other days I stumble around and thank God for the walls to hang on to. I'm blessed for every symptom free day I get. I know now- it is not possible for me to work full time in the industry I have grown up in, and love dearly. Although it's been difficult to let go of working every day, I do believe that everything happens for a reason. I plan to do big things with regard to raising awareness for this disease. I'm aspiring to start a great craft business and reach the greater public with this message. It's something I can do! Instead of accepting holiday, birthday, or any type of gifts for that matter, I would like to raise money so I can get started in what will be an amazing adventure of charity work for an amazing cause. I'm signed up to participate in WalkMS this October in Bakersfield, CA. For more info, or to sponsor me walking, just email me at kris.medeiros@gmail.com. Its only 3 miles,  I'm hoping I'll get through it, gain personal empowerment, and donate to help fight MS.

We need hope, but more importantly a cure. Please take the time check this short video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIQTCCaz7lM&feature=plcp

My business will make the necessary profit to donate to the National MS Society so that more resources and research funding are available for the MS community & the many doctors that work endless hours searching for the cure.
