The family and friends of Wyatt Jahr are coming together to help raise money for medical expenses and surgery's Wyatt will under go.

On October 18, 2007 a baby boy was born, Wyatt Jahr. When he was 4 months old he had gotten influenza. He was taken to the emergency room to be seen. The doctor on call requested an x-ray of his chest. When the doctor returned to the room where is mother was waiting for the results. The first thing the doctor asked was, "Do you know your son has scoliosis?" His mother said, "No, you must to looking at the wrong x-ray." The doctor insisted that it was the right x-ray for the child and had his mother come and take a look at it. And it was the right x-ray for her child. His mother broke down crying....

From that moment on Wyatt has been diagnosed with congenital scoliosis of the spine, missing of the right kidney with a 1% chance of having a tumor on his kidney or liver until the age of 8yrs. old, Thoracic Insufficiency Syndrome which is also called (VEPTR), fused ribs, and hemi-hypertrophy of the legs.
Wyatt has been getting treatment from doctors in Rochester, MN at St. Mary's Hospital.

On January 19, 2012, Wyatt had his first surgery. He had surgery on his spine to remove the T12 vertebra that was missing half of it. Doctors removed part of his right rib and placed it in his spine and fused his top and lower vertebra's together. He now has 3 rods and 6 screws in his spine. Wyatt has got a body cast on now for 6 weeks and after that he will have a chest cast put on for 6 more weeks. For a full recovery from that surgery will be 6 months.

This summer Wyatt will then under go another surgery for his fused ribs, which the doctors will put in a VEPTR (Vertical Expandable Prosthetic Titanium Rib). Once the VEPTR is in place, Wyatt will have 2 surgeries a year (every 6 months) to expand the VEPTR to split the ribs apart until the age of 16.

Please help support Wyatt's on going treatments, he is one brave little boy who is going to go though a lot of sleepless nights and pain.

Everything went good on the new cast change, but he did have his legs casted again. Which was a surprise! Wyatt has another 7 weeks to go in this cast and he should be done with the casts after that. Why to go Wyatt! Keep up the great work!

Just wanted to add that the fundraiser for Wyatt's Wish was a GREAT SUCCESS!! Family and Friends came together to help out this little man and they did a WONDERFUL job on doing it. If you did not get a chance to make it to the Benefit on March 25th there will be another small one in late May at Club 57 in Waseca for some of the Minnesota Donations that did not make it in time for his benefit. Tickets will be sold soon for what will be donated. Watch for details soon! Thank you again for everyone who came together for Wyatt's Wish Benefit!! Pictures will follow soon!!
