Anderson-Hewitt's family and friends join together to rebuild a home destroyed by fire, one pillow at a time. Please show your support!

On June 17th, 2012, our sister, Maria Rodriguez was excited to cook the first meal on her new stove in her new apartment for her and her four kids. She had no idea that the stove was faulty and it would set her kitchen ablaze.

In a matter of minutes a fire ripped through our sister's apartment building and it took 300 firefighters from 30 different fire departments to extinguish the flames. Thankfully all the tenants, including our sister and her four kids(Destiny, 11; Tony, 7; Ari, 5; JJ, 2) made it out unscathed, but the damage was more the done.

A total of 12 apartments were severely damaged, including our sister's which was completely destroyed. Besides the clothes on their backs escaping the fire, all of our sister's and her family's possessions ended up charred and ash.

Maria is thankful to have made it out alive with her kids, but struggles to keep that smile on her face so that her family does not crumble. Now the rebuilding begins.

I can only assume there will be many restless nights to come for Maria and her kids remembering the night they lost everything they worked so hard for. Please assist me in raising money for our sister and her children to bring their restless nights to rest.

Though we cannot bring back what was lost, our hope is to provide them with a comfortable place to rest their heads, to regain the strength necessary to move forward. The money raised will go towards individual beds, pillows and bedding for the entire family. As we all know, a good night's sleep is what makes conquering the next day possible.

Any dollar amount is appreciated. We and our family thank you in advance.

Lots of love,
Ray and Chris
