All doations will be used for vet bills. No amount is too small a donation. Thank you for your help--whatever way you can.

This fundraiser is to help me to pay for an operation to remove both a tumor from my dog, Tad’s, leg and also to remove a bladder stone. I have had Tad for 7 years. He is a mix of a Shiba Inu, Chihuahua and a Pug. I adopted him from the Taunton Animal shelter on September 3, 2005. Since then he has been my constant companion. I often wind up spending a whole day in bed due to chronic daily migraines—Tad stays cuddled up by my side until I get up. He asks nothing of me (except food, water, and a bed) but gives me everything. He means so much to me—I don’t know what I would do without him.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion." unknown

In January I made the mistake of giving Tad a ham bone. He ended up with bone shards creating havoc in his system. While investigating whether he had a blockage or not the ultrasound revealed the bladder stone. I had also noticed previously a weird patch on his leg. My vet biopsied the spot and said that there were Mast cells. The whole situation with the ham bone was terrible but if it hadn’t happened we may not have known about the tumor on his leg until it was too late. It didn’t look like something to be alarmed about. The ham bone incident cost me $1,700. It will be at least $2,000 for the operation to remove the tumor and the bladder stone. I still haven’t paid the bill for the ham bone incident. I am limited physically due to the migraines and am unable to work currently.

Anything that you can give to help out is very much appreciated. Nothing is too little and everything helps! I know times are tough for everyone. If you can't help out financially please pray for Tad that the surgery will go well and he will live a long healthy life. Thank you! I am hoping to be able to have the operation done the end of May or the beginning of June.

The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog. . . .He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world. . . .When all other friends desert, he remains."
