Please help the Goethner Family with the cost associated with their 6 yr. old son’s rare congenital heart condition.

Cameron is 150% boy. Energizer bunny energy all day long! Imagine his parent’s surprise when a shockingly high blood pressure reading at a routine Dr. visit lead to immediate visits with specialists to learn that Cameron has a rare congenital heart condition that requires heart surgery. As if that alone is not enough stress & worry for his parents, add a lay-off for Dad into the equation which not only effects income but insurance coverage, & the stress & worry is even more magnified.

Cameron has what is called coarctation of the aorta, a heart defect where a section of the aorta is very constricted which makes it harder for the heart to pump blood out to the body. As scary as the news is, it is good that the doctors caught it early.

The Goethners are good friends of mine. They are wonderful people who really care about others. A few years ago, I went through a battle with cancer, & they were there for me & my family. Knowing 1st hand how stressful, unpredictable, & expensive it can be when a health crisis arises, I can’t bear to imagine how overwhelmed the Goethner’s must feel facing financial challenges as well. It is my hope that this fundraiser will make a difference for them in this uneasy time.

The Goethners will have to travel to & from Boston to have the surgery & proper care required for Cameron’s rare condition. Please join me in helping to offset/assist with the medical/ daily expenses they will be incurring. If there is any chance some financial burden could be lifted, the whole family will be at a better place to heal.

Thank you in advance for helping this lovely family catch their breath a little during a very hard time.

In their manner of thinking of others, the Goethners have a wonderful idea to support Cameron on the day of his surgery, to share their story, & remind parents of the importance of physical exercise & yearly health visits. Cameron loves to ride his bike so on July 24th (surgery day), please get yourself & your family on your bikes & ride for health, & in support of a special little boy.
