The family and friends of baby Paul are uniting to raise money for his heart transplant expenses.

Baby Paul has been with diagnosed Cardiomyopathy.Cardiomyopathy is a rare condition that causes weakening of the heart muscle or a change in heart muscle structure such as an enlarged heart.Baby Paul's family desperately needs help to pay his long and short term medical expenses.

9/6/2011 as of our last visit to his cardiologist, the doctor said "if you didn't know he had the operation, you would never guess it" pauls recovery has been called picture perfect.for 6 weeks out of surgery.we are praying it stays this way :)

we have been out of the hospital for 2 weeks, and paul is doing well.we have labs twice a week for the first month after transplant.hopefully his new heart will be just fine, with little or no rejection.we are keeping our fingers crossed this is the beginning of something good, and not a continuation of the downward spiral he was in.

paul is all set to be discharged from egleston childrens hospital,we are set to stay at the ronald mcdonald house
for a few weeks in thier immune suppression wing,it is a kinda transplant half-way house. If all goes well, and all has gone very well since his surgery.we will come home in a week :)

so far paul is doing extremely well for only 2 days out of surgery,he is down to 9 meds........i found out 3 of which are just line flushes so really 6,and 2 drips.there was talk of going to stepdown tomorrow which would be a very good thing for us as we will get to stay with him more.but as much as we want him in the c.s.u we only want him there if he is ready.they also took out his chest tube, and another arterial line.he is also eating more from the bottle, and smiling, and playing a little bit, both are very good indications that we will have few if not any problems during the crucial 30 days period following transplant surgery. :)

7/24 paul is in the c.i.c.u. in egleston here in atlanta. So far he is doing well,no rejection or infection indicated, they took him off the respirator, and he is breathing on his own.
they also took him off the dopemine. He still has a long way to go to recovery.but it is a good start.thank you all for your prayers and donations

7/22 paul is in surgery, his heart has just arrived and the surgery has started.god bless the parents of the donor

7/8/2011 Baby Paul is listed as an A1 on the transplant list. These are the most critical children, and at the moment Paul is listed number 1 for his weight group (10-20 pounds)
in the state of GA. They won't tell us what number he is listed nationally but he is close to the top.
On August 21st we will have a benefit for Paul at Smiths old bar downtown Atlanta, appearing on the bill will be
