Dash to Drive 5k
Sud'n Impact is hosting a downtown 5k Run/Walk and silent auction to help raise funds needed to help Erica Predum get an accessible vehicle.
Erica Predum is a 28 year old mom of two. She was in a terrible car accident May 14, 2007 and suffered 27 injuries. She recovered from all of them except one, her spinal cord injury.
A spinal cord injury is a life-altering, catastrophic injury that can happen to anyone, anytime. Imagine being paralyzed and losing your ability to do the simplest tasks such as feeding yourself, getting dressed, brushing your teeth and other simple daily living tasks that most take for granted. Wouldn't you want any bit of independence back?
Erica has spent the last 6 years working on finding ways to get her independence back, while taking care of her boys and moving forward from this devastating injury. The past year Erica has spent countless hours at Sud'n Impact Gym, working on her recovery goals and doing what she needs to do to take care of herself.
Erica's hardwork and determination has motivated her trainer, David Hernandez-owner of Sud'n Impact Gym to help her achieve her goal to drive again. An accessible vehicle is very costly and Erica's funds are very limited being on disability. That's why Sud'n Impact is reaching out for support, to help make her dream a reality by hosting Fort Wayne's 1st annual "Dash to Drive" 5k Run. Walk or Roll.
"Dash to Drive" and silent auction will be held October 19. 2013, Swinney Park Japanese Pavilion. The auction begins at 9:00 am and the 5k begins at 10:00 am Cost is $25 before October 12th then $30 until day of event.
Sud'n Impact is accepting online donations from those unable to particpate but would like to help. We are also looking for event sponsors and silent auction items. If interested in our sponsor packages or would like to donate towards the auction please contact us.
