AID FOR AALIYAH is inviting family, friends and generous hearts to help Aaliyah’s family cope with the mounting medical expenses being incurred while trying find a diagnosis for this 4 year old little girl. Aaliyah is one the sweetest girls on this earth. She is number 5 of my best friend Kelli and her husband Jeremy’s 7 children.

In late July 2011, Aaliyah was treated for what appeared to be a “typical” Urinary Tract Infection. By the end of September 2011, things were not so typical anymore. Aaliyah was admitted at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida where she was diagnosed with a chronic, long-term kidney infection. The doctors treated her for 7 days with IV antibiotics followed by 7 extended days of the same IV antibiotics through home health care.

On October 18, 2011, Aaliyah was re-admitted to Tampa General Hospital. After spending time in the Pediatric ICU, our sweet little Aaliyah now has NO diagnosis, leaving her future uncertain and her family broken-hearted and weary.

As you can imagine, this unexpected crisis has taken an extensive toll on the Robinson Family, both emotionally and financially. Although Aaliyah’s father, Jeremy, does qualify for the Family Medical Leave Act, he will not be receiving a paycheck as earlier this year the family were blessed with twin boys. Therefore, Jeremy’s vacation/sick pay has already been exhausted for this calendar year because of their birth.
Aaliyah’s condition continues to change minute-to-minute. At this time, we do not know what the total medical expenses will be, but we felt we HAD to initiate a fund to alleviate some the stress on the Robinson Family so that Kelli and Jeremy (the parents) can focus all their energy and strength on their family, finding a diagnosis, and cure for Little Aaliyah.
God bless you all for your thoughts, prayers and support.
