On September 22, 1981, Nick Di Brizzi Jr., a true fighter, was born.

However, he came into this world bearing the cross of Cystic Fibrosis. While his parents were told by his doctors he wasn't going to live to see 13 years of age, Nick and his family never lost hope and never gave up. His parents involved him in all sorts of sports such as soccer, tennis, boxing, tae kwon do, and basketball. He grew up with 2 older brothers, Dominic and Frank, who always kept his competitive spirits alive. He used his vigorous attitude and strong drive, even at an early age, to prove to the doctors that he was different, and not just a statistic. Nick always did and still does everything and anything to take care of his health and keep himself thriving.

At the age of 20, Nick left Chicago and moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of one of his lifelong dreams to become an actor. Soon after, he also received his real estate license. While battling Cystic Fibrosis, he still managed to accomplish and fulfill many of his goals as an actor and a realtor.

Seven years ago, we reconnected and started our fairytale life together. Despite all of our health problems, including my diagnosis with Pseudotumor Cerebri and frequent shoulder dislocations, we still manage to live life to the fullest and always with a positive attitude. Now, at 33 years young, after battling numerous lung infections, diabetic issues, swine flu, pneumonia, etc., Nick will need a life saving double lung transplant. Our superman is getting tired of having to fight so hard for every breath of air. He is now on oxygen 24 hours per day/7 days per week and can no longer leave the house for very long or even walk very far. It's also become increasingly hard for him to do day-to-day things like shower and workout. The situation is myself, our family, our dog Dice, and our friends NEED HIM!!!! We love him more then life itself. When I came into his life almost 8 years ago, I quickly realized that he is the most courageous, inspirational, giving, loving, talented, funny, empathetic person I've ever been blessed to know in my life. November 7, 2015 we'll be married for 6 years, and I'm selfishly asking for at least 60 more years with my love! Your donation can help save his life and improve the quality of our life together.

Many of you know Nick would NEVER ask for money (even if he was down to his last dollar); he'd be the one giving it to those in need. However, it has been brought to our attention all of the expenses that coincide with transplant. We realized we'd have to drop the pride and ask for help. We both will not be able to cover any of these additional costs as we will not have the ability to work for awhile. If Nick has his transplant done at San Diego or Stanford, we would have to move there for approximately 4 to 6 months post transplant (if not more); not to mention traveling back and forth there for testing. Nick's recovery period and pay for medical expenses and equipment that the insurance will not cover, such as out-of-pocket expenses, insurance premiums, co-pays for doctors, labs and medications. He would also need anti-rejection drugs, which could cost thousands of dollars per month for the rest of his life. Staying there, plus paying our mortgage and bills back home could cost upwards of about $6,000-$10,000 per month.

Making the decision to undergo a double lung transplant has been stressful and scary for both of us, but we are more than determined to face this with optimism with our family and friends by his side. Please help us to not have to worry about money on top of everything else going on. We will be forever grateful if you can all help us to reach our goal by donating to Nick DiBrizzi Jr.'s campaign! God Bless you all, and thank you so much in advance. Let's all be a part in helping Nick Fight Like a Boss!
