Please help assist with medical/daily living expenses to alleviate the financial burden while Mandie fights Trigemenial Neuralgia!

In January of 2011 Mandie was in the prime of life. She was at a new job she loved, attending college full time, and just started working out at Crossfit 701. Life was going great and she was working hard to make her dreams come true! She suddenly for no reason started getting severe pain on the left side of her face and head. The pain was constant burning and small electric shocks. She went to her doctor and they tried a various medications and treatments.

In September of 2011 the pain was at its worst and she was finally sent to a neurologist. She had more MRIs, blood work, and tests. She was finally diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia. While it was good to have a name for the debilitating pain, Mandie and her family were in awe of what she was facing. Trigeminal Neuralgia is also known as the Suicide Disease. The severity of the pain is so great that 50% of those with it attempt suicide. It is also very rare with only about 1 in 1 million people have it.

The slightest things we take for granted can cause excruciating pain. Things like eating, talking, brushing teeth, showering, brushing hair, wearing makeup, or even a breeze across her face. Her numerous medications have side effects that make things even worse. Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, foggy memory, and impaired liver function to name a few.

Mandie is 1 in a million and is a fighter. She is a former Marine and has never said no to a challenge. She has Microvascular Decompression Surgery scheduled on October 18, 2012. This is a type of brain surgery and she is in for the fight of her life. While she does have the support of her family and friends she needs financial help.

She lives in Fargo, ND and her surgery is in Omaha, NE. She is expected to be there a week and her family will be staying there to support her. She is unable to work and found out that her FMLA is exhausted. Her employer has placed her on unpaid leave. If there isn't a job for her or she is unable to return to work by November 30, 2012 she will be terminated. That is why there is such an urgency for help! Any amount helps $10, $100, or more!

We never think it is going to happen to us, but it can and it does!
