We are coming together to help Ben with his battle against colorectal cancer. Remember, no donation is too small. Please show your support!!
On November 18th I drove Ben to the ER for what we thought was a minor medical issue. After being admitted for additional tests, we were still hopeful that it was nothing serious. On November 20th, after a CT scan and colonoscopy exam, Ben was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer which had spread to his liver. The news, of course, was shocking. The next few days in the hospital were a whirlwind of doctors, medications, and the realization that our plans, our lives, and our future had taken an uncertain detour.
We have only just begun the fight and are engaged in a journey that will include chemotherapy treatments, surgery, and a treatment plan that has no guarantees. Ben has been and will continue to be unable to work due to the nature of his work (plumbing) and other factors (physical, environmental, etc.) that can negatively affect his health and treatment success. For the foreseeable future he has no source of income after being the main source of income for us.
For this reason we are asking anyone who is willing and capable to please help us to meet the financial challenges that the everyday living expenses and medical related expenses present.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to read Ben's story and would like to show our appreciation for all those who support, share, and donate to our effort.
