Please show your support and help Christine Knowles so that she can focus her energy on her current battle with this devastating cancer.

In April, 2007 Christine was diagnosed with Stage II, Triple Negative Breast Cancer with unknown primary. She began her journey with 15 daily radiation treatments. Once the radiation was completed, chemotherapy started. Because of the unknown primary, the chemo was more extensive and much harsher. As expected, she lost her hair and became extremely ill. About 2 months into the chemo a radical mastectomy was performed followed by reconstruction which involved three surgeries to complete. The expected 6 months of chemo extended far beyond as a result of her low blood counts and need for multiple blood transfusions.

Through all of this, Christine was continuing to attend school to complete her degree and follow her dream of opening a flower shop. This dream was realized in January, 2010 when, with hard work and perseverance, Red Rock's Floral & Gifts, in Morrison, CO had its grand opening on January 31, 2010. She vowed to donate a percentage of the profits to cancer research. This success was short lived, however, when shortly after that a PET scan revealed the cancer had returned in her spine. She received 12 radiation treatments while working over 60 hours each week to get the flower shop up and running. In August a PET scan revealed the cancer had spread which meant more radiation and chemo. Then, just two weeks ago she got the results of a new test completed at the Mayo Clinic which determined the cancer is also in her lungs. She has just begun a different type of chemotherapy. Christine is battling with the decision to continue treatment at this time but has committed to complete an 8 week regimen of weekly chemo treatments. Because of the unknown primary, Christine has not qualified for any of the clinical trials going on for triple negative breast cancer....researchers don't want their results skewed!

Throughout this long ordeal Christine has remained strong. She now has a new doctor and another reason to continue....a new granddaughter, Isabella (Bella). The light of her life, along with her daughter, Amanda and son-in-law Derek. And we are all very positive though that this new chemo treatment will finally slow the progression of her cancer.

She has been unable to continue working with severe back pain from the cancer in her spine along with extreme fatigue and the side effects from the chemo. She has gotten behind in her rent, and her car, which is her only means of getting to and from her treatments, doctor appointments and etc., needs extensive work which she cannot afford.

Please help Christine offset the extensive medical and daily living expenses she faces so she can focus her energy on her current battle with this devastating cancer.
