Thank you for considering support of Kim Outlaw's More Enjoyable Life Benefit. My name is Jessica Sandor I work at Quaker Farms School in Oxford, CT with Kim. Kim is a very sweet, positive, and nature loving creative young woman. She is a life long resident of Oxford. She is also a paraprofessional at Quaker Farms Elementary School in Oxford. Kim is a 28-year-old woman diagnosed in February of 2009 with a Brain Tumor. Ten days later she had surgery followed by nine months of chemotherapy treatment. Although things looked stable for a few months, in a routine scan the tumor showed growth. Kim then started radiation treatment. Once again things looked stable but after a few months another scan found growth. This is why Kim is currently undergoing two different chemotherapy treatments at the same time. Due to the tumor’s growth, the use of the left side of her body is significantly compromised. Kim is currently unable to drive. She is working hard with a physical therapist and an occupational therapist to regain the strength and movement in her left side.
Over the time we have worked together in Oxford we have become friends along with many other co-workers who are helping to volunteer their time to raise money for Kim. We have decided to come together because we see how much Kim’s daily routine is a struggle. Due to her treatments, therapy appointments, and the toll it has taken on her body she is only able to continue working part time. With this benefit we are raising money so Kim can live a more enjoyable life. This benefit would significantly help Kim enjoy her life by not having the extra stress of money concerns.
Any donation you could make toward Kim Outlaw’s benefit would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your support!
