The family and friends of The Taft Family are uniting to raise money to help Campbell's battle with brain cancer

When Campbell was 7 months old he was sent to an Ophthalmologist for an eye disorder known as a Nystagmus, the doctor was confident that he would outgrow this in his toddler years, however there was a 1% chance this was caused by a Glioma Brain Tumor and sent Campbell for an MRI to rule it out. Half way through the MRI a sea of people came in giving him more sedation and scrambling about, Joe and I new immediately something was wrong...all they were able to say was "we found something".Our worst fears came true, after 8 hours in the ER waiting for someone to give us an answer a Brain Surgeon came in and said Campbell has a very large Brain Tumor and needs to be operated on immediately.

Dr. Duncan successfully removed 80% of the tumor and pathology reports came back benign. Post surgery we learned Campbell has lost all vision in his left eye and had a lot of complications due to damage to the pituitary gland. We took him home 2 weeks later ..

Three months later a routine MRI showed Campbell’s tumor was back and with a cyst attached to it, This time it was malignant. Another surgery to remove what they could left Campbell with hydrocephalus a VP shunt was put in. Campbell started Chemotherapy every week for 2 years. After some complications, er visits, and unexpected surgeries.....He was cured!!!! Words could not express our happiness!

Campbell was in remission for about 8 months when a routine MRI on February 24th showed that he had relapsed.
