This is the Larry Reid's Lend a Hand, For a Hand fund. The funds will be used for my dad's medical & surgery costs since he has no insurance

For those of you who know my dad, you know he is always the first to give, first to help, and first to persevere. Not a day goes by that he doesn't spread joy in our world. As his daughter, I have been blessed enough to shadow him through life. From dancing on his feet around the house, to helping him on his job sites, to spending hours with him on the boat in the ocean, to calling him in tears because I didn't perform as highly as I wanted--he has always been the same loving, caring, positive, giving, light hearted and loyal person he will always be.

He was the dad who sent me with a couple extra dollars to the movie theater in middle school, just in case someone didnt have enough money to get in. He's the one who is cooking pies for the homeless around town during holidays and the one bringing them McDonalds hamburgers on any plain day. He's the one who tries to make life easier for anyone he comes in contact with. Those of you who know him know he could be stuck in ten feet of mud, see a blizzard coming his way, and still be smiling. My dad is someone who will walk to the end of the world to help someone.

I think its time for someone to help make HIS life easier. He deserves to recover from his current conditions without having to worry about the financial stress of his treatments. That is why I am here today.

For those of you who don't know...and for those of you who dad recently had a bad accident with the saw at a job site in California.

The accident left him going to a southern California hospital to receive treatment--a two week skin graft procedure which will hopefully work and will allow him to keep his right hand fully functional!

On Monday he went in for his first surgery and he has the second surgery two weeks from then. While recovering, he is incurring large medical expenses. He is an independent contractor, so he is not eligible for worker's comp, nor does he have insurance. Not only that -- but he is a right-handed contractor, so without his right hand functioning, he will be out of his normal work.

I am asking that you please donate whatever you can spare so that when he is done he will have less of a financial strain and know that people in this world have faith in him. Not to mention, I want him to get better because I'm not done dancing on his feet around the house and going out on the boat with him. And I'm definitely not done needing him as a lifeline when I call in tears. :-)

Thank you all for your donations, support and most importantly prayers.

You can donate directly through the site posted on this page. If you would prefer to mail a check, you may do so. Please make it out to Larry Reid and contact me at for a mailing address.
