Nurses that are raising Medical supplies for the Missionaries of the Poor.

We are returning to Kingston, Jamaica, on October 14 -28, 2012. Your help will provide the necessary vaccines in the prevention of communicable diseases, providing immunizations for the approximately 230 Brothers, keeping them healthy in caring for the poor, and immunizations for approximately 800 homeless, abandoned children through adult ages, the poorest of the poor.

Missionaries of the Poor is based in Kingston, Jamaica, and has established missions in the United States, Haiti, India, Africa, and the Philippines. We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with the Internal Revenue Service. Our Federal ID #20-4553442. We have tax exempt status in the state of FL #85-8015435142-C

The Missionaries of the Poor take care of those whom are considered the least in society: the homeless and destitute, the crippled and abandoned who cannot help themselves and who have no one to care for them. We take care of those children who are malnourished and deformed (abandoned by their parents in the hospitals), those with epilepsy, with mental illness, those with HIV-AIDS (adult and children), bedridden people who have serious complications and the elderly, with no cost to them.

Since we dedicate our lives in caring for the poor ones freely, we survive through begging and donations. In this regard, we are asking for your help with food and/or necessary supplies. Our greatest medical needs, at present we are in great need of these items and this is why we ask for the donations...

There are children that are passing away everyday. There is children that are 5 years old, holding there infant sibling on a step while laying next to his deceased mother.
There are children that can not even get past the age of
3 months due to now immunizations.

This is a story of one of our RN's Linda Ditlow.
A mother rushed her asthmatic child …threw her into my arms…Help her please….all that was there was a donated aspirator….and an ‘adult mask’…..did the best I could, crunching the mask to benefit the child as best as possible…..
Blessings…the child did improve….less wheezes after the treatment….(am taking a few pediatric mask back with me)

The Missionaries only have such supplies because someone was generous enough to donate the machine and some medications… the baby also opened her most beautiful black eyes…probably thinking why am I so ‘white’! I wrote a begging letter to the hospital, so the Mother could get more treatment. (otherwise she would have had no one to care for her respiratory condition.

We Thank you in advanced. God Bless you.
