The family and friends of Zoe Gibbs are uniting to raise money to help pay for treatments & surgery.

On April 24 Zoe was in a watercraft accident and lost part of her left leg. This is a little of the story. My friends I don't ask much of you but whatever you can give I would her family would appreciate it. What I really hope for is $1 from each of you then hopefully through Facebook and other Social Media outlets you can get $1 from your friends and then their friends it will make this easier on the family!!!

Zoe Gibbs, the Lakeland girl who lost part of her left leg in a personal watercraft accident April 24 on Lake Gibson, underwent her fifth operation Thursday at Tampa General Hospital and faces even more surgery.

Doctors found an area of infection that prompted the surgery, said Whitney Gibbs, the girl's older sister. Zoe was in fair condition Thursday, a hospital spokesman said.

Zoe, 14, had her leg severed below the knee in a collision with a craft ridden by her cousin, Paige Rimmer, on the afternoon of Easter Sunday. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission continues to investigate the accident.

Whitney Gibbs said her sister continues to have a fever, and doctors told her that indicates continuing infection at the wound site. Gibbs said specialists from the hospital's department of infectious disease are working with her doctors to clear the infection. She said Zoe is scheduled for another operation Saturday and possibly a seventh on Monday.
