The family and friends of Sarah Denny are uniting to raise money to help her receive her service dog.

Sarah was diagnosed with PTSD after a felony sexual assault in 2009. She is for the most part home-bound, she is crippled by fear, anxiety, panic, night terrors, flashbacks, hyper vigilant and severe depression. She currently has a Emotional Support Animal, which allows her to feel safe and secure at home. By having a Psychiatric Service Dog, she would be able to go out side of the house, to interact with society with out severe anxiety.
A Psychiatric Service Dog would be trained specifically for her, trained to help her remember to take her medication, to wake her from a Night Terror, to paw/lick or bark when she becomes disassociated from reality. To allow Sarah to do the simplest of tasks alone, like grocery shopping or other public places.
The cost of the service dog is $12,000 plus travel cost to the training facility, 3 months of lodging/food/expenses while in training. As well as transportation home from the training facility, which is in another state.
The total amount that Sarah needs to take home her service dog and regain her personal freedom is $20,000.
Please help my daughter regain her freedom and allow her to expand her world beyond the front door.
Thank you for your support,

Sheila, Sarah's mom
