Help save the Hot Dog Cart from being lost becuase of the City of St. Louis trying to knock down the small business owers. Visit Ksdk search for "Bidding War Downtown Vendors to see the news story they covered.

What is happening to me is a typical story of how the big business and city politics is trying to get rid of the small self employed business owners( the last of the Mom and Pop business. The city gave us NO warning they were going to do this to us. In the old ordience we were grandfathered in, now they not only changed the ordience but did it right at the start of the baseball/spring season.

12 years ago I Karen boschert started her Hot Dog cart business at the corner of 10th an walnut with the help of  friend on a hand shake Iwas given the chance to become the" Hot Dog Lady". In one year Irepaid that favor and became the "Hot Dog Lady". After all of the years vending downtown in St. Louis the city has decided to rewrite the ordience ( without notice of course) is requireing the street vendors who have permits to bid for there spots by writeing a proposal, submitting it to the city of St. Louis Street Department, and attaching a bid for what they feel there spot is worth it could be as high as $3000 or as low as a $1000. I of course do not want to be put out of business, the little man against the big city. If I write a great proposal, an offer the highest bid for my spot I will beable to remain the "Hot Dog Lady"

As many of you know I have been seriouly ill for the past year and my friends, family and customers held a fundraiser for me last year. That helped me surive till Spring has arrived. I also have had to take a full time job, along with running the hot dog carts and still fighing to stay healthy. I will not have the financial means to bid for my spot. I am hopeing that again with the help of my friends, family and customers I will beable to offer the highest bid for my corners and beable to remain the "Hot Dog Lady".  Please help me to make my bid the highest so that I can remain your "Hot Dog Lady" and I can keep my business. I truley love being the "Hot Dog Lady". Please when you donate, leave a comment so that when I bid for my spots I can show that I have many supporters for me remaing the "HotDogLady".
