The family and friends of Fong are raising money to help keep them from losing their house to ruthless loan owners!

It is said that in desperate times, people take desperate measures.

About three months ago, my mom, an Asian-American woman, started to get calls from our home mortgaging company. The representatives told my mother that she was late for her mortgage payment, but the month had only begun and our bill was always due on the 15th. When stating this, the representatives told us that our loan was sold from a previous company to them, GreenTree and that is now due on the 1st.

Also during this time, my mom, a business owner, started to feel the effects of the failing economy and had trouble paying her mortgage bill on time. My father, a fisherman in Louisiana, had been unable to find jobs that paid enough to help support the family after the BP Oil Spill. Now, our house is in foreclosure and the bank is expecting my family to move out in September.

The problem with that is that we have nowhere to go. We have been frantically trying to find a house to live in but we are not able to be approved for any loans due to the foreclosure. Due to this problem, my mom, an Asian-American woman who's never sought to or reaped any government benefits before in her life, who with her own two hands raised six children herself, has seen a deep decline in her health, experiencing anxiety and panic attacks almost everyday.

We are hoping to raise $20,000 so that we can either try to stop the foreclosure or at least buy a tiny house so that we're not on the streets. We are praying that in this time need, people will find it in their hearts to help us through this trying time.
