To be able to pay for Caige, a rescued cat, to have his teeth extracted because of complications of severe stomatitis.

Caige is a rescued 4 year old orange tabby that has gingivitis – inflammation of the gums. But this is no ordinary gingivitis. Caige also has stomatitis – inflammation of the entire mouth. In fact, Caige has an extreme form of oral inflammation that goes beyond your garden variety gingivitis.

Caige's condition is referred to as “lymphocytic plasmacytic gingivitis stomatitis (LPGS), a painful inflammatory condition that causes a great deal of discomfort.

It has affected his teeth, gums and throat and he cannot eat dry food only canned food mixed with warm water, and then will only eat 2 - 3 tablespoons at a time.

He is slowly starving himself to death due to the pain he is in.

Syringe feeding will not work as he cannot tolerate anything touching his mouth.

Antibiotics and steroids have helped in the past but no longer work.

His vet now says he needs his teeth extracted.
