“Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For indeed that's all who ever have. ” ― Margaret Mead

Let me tell you about a not so "normal" 16 yr old. At the
age of 16 Vicky was diagnosed with kidney disease.Vicky's "normal life" was turned upside down, she would never again be "normal", at 18 she began hemodialysis. Instead of experiencing prom and graduation, she experienced kidney biopsies, catheter
placements, vascular surgeries and agonizing
hemodialysis treatments. Faced with many hardships in the beginning of her "dialysis journey" her spirit never gave up. Now at the age of 25 Vicky has found a way to make a positive out of this disease she has been faced with everyday for the past 7 years. She spends 6 days in dialysis facilities, when she isn't treating, shes providing treatment for other patients as a Dialysis Tech. Vicky has found a passion in helping other's who suffer from kidney disease like her. Its a good thing that Vicky turned out not to be so "normal" after all. Vicky is a fighter, strong, and a great inspiration to all those who know her, and with her transplant only months away it is our turn to show our support to her. Vicky helps give life everyday as a dialysis tech, as her friends and colleagues we can help give her a chance at a new life. Your donation today large or small will help her have a stress free recovery as it will be used for medications and other post-transplant expenses. Everything counts and is appreciate it. Thank you!
