This is for the Deanna Gregorio Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Fund. The funds will be used for Deanna's medical costs and related expenses.

My mother Deanna Lorenzana Gregorio had undergone abdominal aortic aneurysm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdominal_aortic_aneurysm) repair surgery on November 30, 2011 at the Philippine Heart Center. The procedure took over 12 hours and she is now in the recovery room but due to the loss of blood, her kidneys are not functioning properly. Dialysis was not enough so she is undergoing continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).

Deanna is a fighter and we know she can get through this. She is the strongest woman I know.
She is the wife of Rey Gregorio and mother of 4 children, Andy, Jun-Jun, Gigi and Jonathan. She has been involved with public service in the Philippines through her past Sectoral Representative role with the Persons with Disabilities Council of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), which advised the Office of the President on legislation and programs that concern disabled Filipinos. She advocated legislation that has helped millions of Filipinos living with disabilities.

Deanna has also been living with a disability for most of her life. She has Multiple Sclerosis which is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).

The tests, surgical procedure, medicines and treatments have been extremely costly and is quite a difficult financial burden to her family. Her medical insurance was not able to cover most of these costs. This fund aims to alleviate the financial difficulties in this unforeseen family emergency.

We are being strong and positive for Deanna's recovery. Thank you for all your prayers, support and donations.
