Casper's family is trying to raise money to help pay for her surgery.

My cat Casper got out of the house the other night. Miraculously, she made it home with what seemed to be a dislocated leg. She was also bleeding. We took her to the Vet and it seems that she was hit by a car. Luckily it doesn't appear that any organs were damaged. The doctor believes that her femur is broken near the joint. She was also severely dehydrated and she had a very low body temperature. The staff at the veterinary office stabilized her enough so that she could go home, however she is unable to do anything for herself. She has to eat baby food. The doctor also recommended that we feed her chicken broth as well as water; We have to give it to her through an eye dropper. She cannot walk, so she can't make it to the litter box. Therefore she sleeps on a pee pad that we have to change regularly. This is unfortunate for her because being a cat, she chooses to be very clean by constantly grooming herself. Because of her injury she is unable to do so and we have to do it for her. She is also on pain medication which sedates her, making it hard for her to even remain alert during the day. She cannot go on like this. The only way to help her is to get her the surgery that she needs. The surgery costs about $2000.00. We don't have that kind of money off hand, seeing as we just spent hundreds of dollars for her to be treated during the first visit. If you wouldn't mind donating to help pay for her surgery, it would help so much. Every penny counts. I just want to see her get better. She means so much to me. Thank you.
