It's never too young to become a leader or to start thinking about the future! Thank you for your help~

Serenity is a bright, feisty, hard-working, 3rd grade student who attends Southeast Academy in SE DC. She was nominated to enroll in a National Young Scholars Program in DC where she will spend one week in a conference with other high-achieving third to fifth graders from all around the USA. She will engage in an interactive, hands-on, experiential curriculum to teach leadership skills with a focus on either engineering, medicine, or forensics. Unfortunately, such an opportunity costs an arm and a leg these days and there's no way that Serenity's mother can fully fund the tuition when she has her hands full with five other children.

I, humbly ask, for your help and your generosity to help me send Serenity to have the most life-changing, memorable, albeit one week, experience of her elementary school career.

I know it's a lot of money just for one week and had I not worked for this program last year, I would definitely think twice about this program. However, I have seen and worked with people who run these programs, all of whom are incredible and knowledgeable people, and have personally facilitated over 120 students over the course of eight sessions, have the most amazing experiences through this program.

The tuition will cover her transportation (they go on multiple field trips a day), three large meals (buffet style), lodging (since family lives in Southeast DC, it would be too much for her to go to and from Chevy Chase, MD), and the materials of the program.

Thank you for all your help!
