This is Sonny's Lymphoma/Cancer Fund. The funds will be used toward Sonny's fight against Lymphoma.

On Sunday October 7th, when playing with our 10 year old Australian Shepard, Sonny, my family and I noticed two large lumps on his abdomen. As soon as we noticed these lumps, our stomachs dropped as we checked his neck with anticipation - we found his lymph nodes were swollen. Four years ago we noticed the same swollen lymph nodes on Sonny's brother, and littermate. Soon after, Sonny's brother was diagnosed with lymphoma. We did everything we could do to help him with our amazing vet and after a year of treatment we were able to gain another wonderful year with Sonny's brother.

Learning from our past experience, we took Sonny to a vet that specializes in canine cancer. Unfortunately, the same horrible news was rendered - Sonny has been diagnosed with aggressive Lymphoma, but is in great health (blood work, heart rate, energy, hunger and etc...). Our vet has informed us that a simple Prednisone treatment would only give him 2-3 more months to live. If we were to treat him with chemotherapy (The Wisconsin Protocol), it is expected that he would be in remission within six months.

Having been down this road before, we recognize that it is a very expensive and emotional one. Right now we are unable to afford the treatment that Sonny deserves, but we are doing everything we possibly can to make sure he gets it. Though he is 10 years old, he still possesses the youth and vivacity of a four year old dog. He loves to run and wrestle with us (as well as eat as many Dogsters ice creams as possible). Most importantly, he loves us, and we love him.

Sonny it the paradigm of a "man's best friend" and we want to make sure we give him the same kind of love and respect that he has given us over the years.

No donation is too small and each is greatly appreciated, even sharing this page with others is a great help. Please visit this page regularly, we will be keeping everyone up to date on Sonny's progress/treatment.

Thank you all for your time and generosity,

Wayne, Lori, Chad, Spencer and Sonny
