This is the Anthony Baugh Cancer Fund. The funds will be used for Tony's medical costs and related expenses not covered by insurance.

Tony Baugh was diagnosed with Stage 4 Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin's Lymphoma in February 2012.

Tony discovered a large, hard mass in his neck while putting on his suit for his daughter's wedding in December. After a few tests and an inconclusive needle biopsy, the 10cm cancerous node was removed from Tony’s neck. Pathology confirmed it was Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. P.E.T. and C.T. scans showed the cancer had spread to his entire body- including the liver, spleen, lungs, chest, trachea, and groin- and a bone marrow biopsy showed it had spread into his bones.

Tony began aggressive infusion chemotherapy within the same week of the confirmed diagnoses. Three months after starting chemo, his P.E.T. and C.T. scans showed he was responding very well to treatment. This gave us hope that the cancer would soon be gone. Seven months after the diagnosis, on September 14th, another P.E.T. and C.T. showed that while Tony is still responding well to chemo treatments, there is still some residual cancer on the left side of his body. He will soon be having a consultation with a radiation specialist to determine the next course of action pertaining to his treatment plan.

Tony had to quit his job during the course of all this, due to the number of appointments that are necessary for his treatment. As everyone knows, chemotherapy wreaks havoc on your body. Accompanying the extreme fatigue, nausea and bone pain that is common during treatment, the neuropathy (dead nerves that cause an extremely painful feeling in the hands and feet) that resulted from the chemo is likely to be permanent, and makes it hard for Tony to be on his feet for any significant length of time, or to work. The financial burdens of his living and medical expenses are piling up. Please help ease some of this burden for Tony and his family.
