The family and friends of Lindsey are uniting to raise money to help with her recovery after a severe stroke. Please show your support!
This page is dedicated to Lindsey Ledford, known to others as, "Lazer". A beautiful, genuine, fun-loving and free-spirited young woman. On Friday, May 17, 2013 Lindsey gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl, Jolene Helen Ledford. Born at 6:02 PM after 19 hours of labor. She weighed 8 lbs. 15 oz. and was 21 inches long! As any new Mommy, she was full of smiles this day and is head over heels with her new bundle of joy!
Six days later on the morning of Thursday, May 23, 2013, while at home with her husband Aaron and her newborn Jolene, Lindsey suffered from a severe stroke that consisted of brain hemorrhaging and a large blood clot on the left side of her brain. She was quickly rushed down the street toSaint Mary'shospital in Richmond, Virginia. Upon arrival, the incredible staff at St. Mary's immediately operated on her to stop the bleeding. She was then placed in a medically induced coma within the Intensive Care Unit to rest while the healing process began... 8 days later she woke up and began breathing on her own. After spending roughly 1 month at Sheltering Arms Memorial Regional rehabilitation center, she is now home with Aaron and Jolene and makes progress everyday.
Lindsey has a long uphill battle that cannot be won without the support from all her family, friends, and hopeful strangers. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Lindsey continues to fight and your prayers and support will be the driving force needed for her to succeed.
