We're helping out a friend who is in a tight spot. She needs money to move, and quickly. Conditions are becoming very bad for her family.

Here's the situation: Harley is very afraid that her current apartment manager is trying to find ways to evict her from her apartment. She has an 8-month old son, and doesn't have the money to move currently. Her lease is up on her apartment, her manager has recently said they didn't pay their rent, when they have (and it's been on time in the 2 years they've lived at this complex). Her manager has been complaining about the state of their apartment, and whenever they comply with the manager's demands, other things come up that she tries to use against them.

Her Father-In-Law has cancer. She is also Pagan, which might have actually started the manager's distaste in the first place. There's no way to get this in writing, of course. This manager is also new, having started working at this complex in the last few weeks. In the two years they have lived at this complex, there have been at least 6 managers that have started to work there, and then haven't lasted more than 6 months at a time. While the manager may not be there long, I feel that they don't have the time to take risks.

Here's what the money will go for:
Paying off her electric bill
First months rent
Security deposit
And money to move with (gas, food, etc).

If you can help, at all, PLEASE gladly do so. She is very afraid that something might go wrong, quickly, and since the manager is using all the proper channels, legal aid will not be able to provide much (though she is looking into it). She has considered moving into a homeless shelter as a last recourse (if the manager gets her way, that WILL be Harley's only option). She can't move into even income-based housing, because her electric bill has been so far behind (it will have to be paid in full before it can be turned on at any new place she moves to).

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
