Jackie Balliot's family and friends are uniting to raise money to help her in battle against Oteosarcoma. Thank you for visiting our site.

Life can change in an instant. I am a 15 year old kid who like any other was going to high school and living a normal life. I enjoy, singing, playing music and was a flyer on my high school cheer leading team. On January 26th 2012 I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a form of cancer in my left leg. At first, we thought it was sports related injury from cheer leading and went to physical therapy for a month. My leg was getting worse instead of better. I went for an MRI that morning was given the news by my doctor in his office. A whirlwind of events happened and the next thing I know, I am at Duke hospital getting a biopsy on my leg. The diagnosis was confirmed. The doctors soon gave my family what the treatment options were. We live in Western North Carolina and have to travel to Duke hospital for roughly ten months for chemotherapy and surgery. We have insurance but the co-payments and the cost of travel back and forth and the cost of medicine is very expensive. I will win this battle with the support of a very loving family and the prayers and support of a community like no other. I am truly blessed by the amount of support that I have received.

So many people have asked how they could help or what they can do. There many people who are praying and caring for me that I have never met.

My family created this site as a way for anyone who would like to help. Any money donated will go to help with uncovered medical expenses and travel cost while we continue this fight.
