The family of Cassie Riley are uniting to raise money to help support her in a time of crisis.

In May 2012 my mother suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage as well as multiple bilateral ischemic strokes with no known cause from what the neuro team at OSF St Francis could find. The possibility of vascultis has since been ruled out as well as any infections or diseases in spinal fluid. She spent a month at OSF taking turns for the worse and baffling the entire stroke team, getting better, and ultimately coming through and was discharged to out patient occupational, speech, and physical therapy.
She is currently living with me in my home and seeing her therapy team 3 times weekly and follow-ups with the neuro team monthly. Her 2 teenage daughters are staying with other relatives as well as her infant grandson. While she is making great progress rather quickly I find myself in financial turmoil trying to make sure the bills are paid at my own home as well as hers and struggling to pay for gas to take her to all of her appointments. She has a pending case with social security for disability as she cannot currently get a job due to her cognitive delays, which through occupational therapy we hope for improvement.
My goal here is to raise enough to ensure she still has a home to go to when she is well enough to no longer need my care and supervision and to help with medical related costs until she either is better enough to be considered "employable" or is able to receive ssdi.
