"Help Our Pomeranian" is for our little bundle of joy, "Baby," a 7-year-old Pom who needs surgery for an improperly administered microchip (an implant REQUIRED by the City of Oakland). Unfortunately, we cannot afford the surgery to help our Baby!

Three years ago, my mother and I took our Pomeranian, "Baby," to the Oakland Pound to get her micro-chipped. Micro-chipping is required by the City of Oakland for all dogs before owners can receive a license for their pet(s). Since then, Baby has suffered from multiple skin rashes and chronic infections around the microchip injection site. Initially, we thought she was bitten by a tick. But our vet and x-rays have indicated that the microchip was the source of the problem! My mother is a California State worker whose income has been significantly affected by mandatory state furloughs. Moreover, the microchip has NOT stayed put, but has traveled from Baby's scruff to her right side--extending the infection site. We now need your help! Baby needs your help! The surgery to remove the microchip and to remove infected skin tissue is $3400. An amount we are hard-pressed to afford. Your assistance would help us give Baby much needed comfort and many more happy tail-shakes for years to come!
