Hi,we recieved a gift one day named bo a stray that started hanging around and made himself at home one claimed him no tags collar ect.

Animal control didnt want him ,unless he was dead yep down here in corpus christi texas mainly they just pick up dead animals and throw them in the landfill, sad but this is the system here, later id did find out there are some privately run animal rescue groups in town but by this time we had grown attached to him.

Bo was very under weight and had fleas bad so we fed him alot and gave him some vitamins and treated the fleas,he recovered fast and so we house trained him and stuff hes a very smart, good dog he is a lab.

well later we did find out he had tape worms so we treated him for that and we started noticing rashes like break outs that would come and go ,so we took him to the vet again and that's when we found out he has :
Demodex canis
In dogs older than 1 year, a spontaneous cure is unlikely but the outlook for improvement with medical treatment has increased dramatically in recent decades. Most dogs can be cured with intense therapy.
Most of the remaining cases can be controlled if the owner is willing to commit the necessary time and expense.
And his medicine and vitamins are very expensive about 300 to 400 dollars a month ,it seems to be going up in cost as he has to keep getting more meds ,for his treatment each month.

Most people would probably say get rid of him,but we know he will just get put down for money reason and this may be why he was put on the street as well .
Plus we are attached to him we have had him for over a year now so we need help with his meds Please help .

Bo and i thank you!

all for your generosity, love and best wishes for you and bo
