Deanna is striving to give her baby girl, Evalyse, a life full of possibilities. Please show your support!

Welcome to the support page for Deanna Luebbert and her first child, Evalyse, who is scheduled to be delivered on June 28th!

On Feb. 3rd, Deanna was informed that her baby had a developmental abnormality, later to be identified through an amniocentesis test as spina bifida. Since then, through heartache and sacrifice, she has been on a mission to give her baby girl the best possible outcome despite her condition.

Upon learning about the possibility of having surgery to repair Evalyse while still in the womb, Deanna traveled 11 hours to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for testing. After taking a battery of tests, she was accepted for this risky, but life-changing surgery! Baby Evalyse now has hope to walk and have normal function through this pioneering procedure, but this has been accomplished at a cost.

Deanna explains her situation best in her personal blog on CaringBridge.com:

"This surgery meant for me to walk away from both of my jobs because I'm on bed rest for the next 3 or so months and have to stay near Philadelphia until I have her, I have to have an adult with me at all times because I could go into labor any time so that meant that my mom would have to leave her job, I only came packed for 4 days just for the testing, all this was just a big leap of faith and all I could do was pray that God would take care of all of us. This was definitely a major decision that in turn would be a major sacrifice, not only for me but my mom and everyone that I had to lean on for other things, which I don't like doing. There is nothing worse than asking for help, but I had to swallow my pride...for my daughter."

Please consider supporting Deanna in any way you can.

Deanna's family is hoping to raise some money for travel and medical expenses not covered by insurance in order to ease the stress of her loss of income due to the surgery. To be transparent, a donation to Deanna is not tax deductible, and 7% of all credit/debit card donations through this site is taken by the host of this webpage, giveforward.com.
