The friends of Morris Kollie are uniting to raise money and build a home for Morris' Mother.

Morris Kollie struggled most of his life trying to deliver his family from poverty, most importantly to put shelter over his mother's head. Through it all, he remained faithful and honest to everyone. He touched the lives of many in a very special way. Unknown to him that death would come too early to depreive him from seeing his dream for his family.
Morris Lester Kollie died at a tendered age of 40 on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.
Like many of us, Morris stepped out of a very poor family standing as the only educated male. With the burden of this family resting on his shoulder, he became the heartbeat of the family, struggling regularly to satisfy the needs of his mother and 7 sisters; including extensive care for at least 20 nieces and nephews. Interestingly, most of his energy, he will invest in friends; ensuring that money from over sea is delivered in full, messages are transmitted accurately and timely, and that services are fully executed. He made honesty the order of his playbook and sacrifice on so many occasions to make others happy.
Morris will truly be missed and he honestly deserves a second chance.
Morris grew up struggling, always finding the righteous path to success. He was brilliant with exceptional hand writing and beautiful tune of voice. He won several academic scholarships and stayed top of his class. He sang with a demanding tune in the choir but remained humbled always standing in the back row. All these talents did not make him famous or rich. But it will be his calling to serve mankind that will make the difference. His genuine commitment to friends, his belief in honesty, his willingness to sacrifice for others and to endure the pain while others excel made him exceptional. One friend in tears called him "An Angel".
Looking back at his childhood, Morris spent about a decade of his life caring for an overweight private church pastor. He sold bread to near by towns to help the church support the orphanage. When the war interrupted his schooling in Bomi, Morris returned to continue his care for the pastor up to her last hour. Morris did not gain wealth on Earth. He worked harder than most of us and tried in so many ways to get ahead but couldn't reach his ultimate goal for his mother. All he has left is the investment that he made in each of us. It is our turn to give back to Morris Kollie what he deserves.
This fundraiser is intended to give each of us a second chance; those who listened but did not hear his cry, those who knew him and those who didn't, those who couldn't reach him while on his sick bed, to make that single dream of a hard working, faithful and loving friend comes through. The funds will be entirely put towards buying a land and building a three bed room house for Morris' Mother in her home town in Bong County, Liberia. Morris left behind 7 sisters and at least 20 young nephews and nieces. This is the least we can do for a man who devoted his life caring for others. Let's give Morris his final rest in peace.
Thank you and May God continue to shower his devine blessings upon us as we strive to raise this fund in honor of our loving friend and brother .
