Sammy, a chief mechanic for off-road race vehicles has a rare condition that left him paralyzed from the waist down. However, there is hope.

On January 14,2013, Sammy was diagnosed with a rare condition called Acute Tranverse Myelitis (two days after he got married). He could no longer feel below his belly button. He could no longer walk-paralyzed and now depends on his wheelchair to get himself around. This was devastating to an almost 40-year-old man whose life revolved around off-road racing. All Sammy thought about was wrenching on race vehicles. He was chief mechanic for off-road racing vehicles that have won the Baja 1000, 500 and San Felipe 250, the Mint 400, Lucas Oil Shortcourse, etc. His funds have run out. Sammy and his wife went from being newlyweds with everything going for them to having to count every penny. Please help in any way you can. Your donations will go towards medical bills, living expenses, and most importantly, the rehabilitation to improve his way of life and some day walk again. We are now striving to get Sammy into clinical studies for spinal injuries that are presently being conducted with very positive results.  With aggressive physical therapy (which we hope will start soon) and the clinical studies, Sammy will be able to do what he is best at, solving mechanical problems.  Benefits have not been received (but have been applied for) given the reliance on much needed donations.  Please help in any way you can.
