Cub is a 7 year old white German Shepherd who we rescued from an abusive home where he was beaten and starved. He has become an important part of our household and has two "brothers", Bear and Baron who love him very much too. In April of this year, Cub was diagnosed with Lymphoma and we began Chemotherapy at LaCroix Veterinary Hospital. He responded well to all the treatments, but in May he was bit by a spider on his hind leg and developed a bad infection due to his already suppressed immune system. He had to take numerous antibiotics and could not receive chemo treatments for a month while the wound healed. Once he was ready, we resumed chemotherapy starting from scratch due to the lost time. We have now completed 12 weeks of a 19 week treatment plan and have spent about $4,000. We have run out of money for the chemotherapy. Cub has been feeling great, with no bad side effects and has the energy of a puppy. We do not want to stop his chemo treatments because he will come out of remission and we are really not ready to let him go. He has been such a great and loving pet to us and we ask for any financial help you can give so that we can complete his 19 week chemo treatment plan so that he can stay in remission for up to two years! Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
