Please help us save the life of the kitten we rescued. He needs a surgery that we cannot afford all by ourselves.

Here's our story:

My girlfriend and I were driving from Seattle, Washington to New Orleans Louisiana for college. A few hours into our trip we had to slam on the brakes because there was a kitten in our lane on the highway. We pulled over and picked him up and took him to the nearest Humane Society we could find. The Humane Society in Kennewick, Washington said they could not accept strays but recommended animal control. However, animal control said where we found him was outside their jurisdiction. We then took him to a vet who told us that the kitten has two broken legs and that he was most likely thrown out of a car. The vet told us that our best option was to take him to a specialist when we got to our final destination and that it would be hard to find an shelter to take car of him especially because he's injured. So we bought a litterbox and food and made our way down to Louisiana with our kitten.

Both of the tibia bones in the kitten's back legs are broken and require surgery. One of the breaks is right at a growth plate. Without the surgery the kitten will grow deformed and be in pain for the rest of its life. The only options for him are surgery or to be put down. Please help us save his life.

He's only 8 weeks old and deserves so live, If you have any questions feel free to email me at Akovacs1@tulane.edu or call me at 425-681-8151.
Thank you!
