Bentley has a long road ahead of him, he just needs support. Thank you for yours!!

I've had my 2 yr old Yorkie since he was 6 wks old. He was born on November 30th, 2008 & I brought him home on January 11th, 2009

On Nov 14th, 2010, we went out for our nightly walk and he came inside just as normal as any other night around 10:30PM. Long story short, by 11:30PM my little man could not walk or move any of his limbs. No doctor can tell us what caused this. I was told it could have been anything, it's just impossible to tell. He still cannot walk today, but he is making incredible progress while attending physical therapy Monday through Friday an hour away from my house. I drop him off every Sunday night and pick him up every Friday evening. Although it is hard only being with him for two days a week, I'm certain I am doing what's best for HIM & not me.

I am a student-teaching intern in a 5th grade classroom and will graduate in May 2011 with a BA in Elementary Education for which I've worked extremely hard. On top of my student-teaching portfolios and lessons, my stress level is at an all time high throwing in Bentley's unexpected tragedy. He is the closest thing I have to a child at the moment and I'm not giving up until he is walking and well again.

Now, I've said all of that to say this, my money is just not there & I'm at a loss for what to do for my little man now. I don't want to give him up to a rescue group; he's my baby and I couldn't imagine not being his "mom" and making sure he's being taken care of. I just wanted to know if there was any help out there that I'm not aware of. Thank you for your comments & donations, they're GREATLY appreciated!!

ALL donations will be used strictly for Bentley's physical therapy. The costs are $500.00 every 16 sessions; which would boil down to $156.25/week including his 5 days of physical therapy & 5 overnight stays. ALL proceeds will be given to Eastern Carolina Vet Referral in Wilmington, North Carolina.

(If you would feel more comfortable...) Another way you can help is to make a donation directly to Eastern Carolina Vet Referral Animal Hospital (910) 790-1070 for Bentley's physical therapy. Just make sure that they know who you are sponsoring. :-) Thank you so much for helping me give my buddy a chance...
