The family and friends of Ricky Thao are uniting to raise money to help with funeral expenses.
On Friday July 9th, 2012, Ricky's father searched for him when he went missing and unfortunately found Ricky unresponsive in their swimming pool. Ricky's father, Chai Thao, pulled him out and started CPR on his little boy but unfortunately Ricky had no pulse and was unresponsive. When peramedics arrived onsite, they rushed Ricky to Childrens Hospital and was able to get his heart beating again but his brain was filled with water. Our family prayed all weekend for a miracle, hoping our little Ricky would come out of his coma, and come home. Monday July 12th, 2012, Susan and Chai's greatest fear would come true. Three different doctors all concluded that Ricky was brain dead and was no longer with us. Later that night, Chai and Susan made one of the hardest decision a parent could ever make, take their son off life support and let him go.
Chai and Susan have a total of 9 kids and while they are still tending to their little ones, they are now faced with the lost of their son Ricky. Chai and Susan are not financially able to give Ricky a proper funeral and are hoping and awaiting the approval of any assistance from State Grants, which may not cover all funeral expenses.
Our family has come together and are trying are best to come up with what we can but we are still asking for any help that we can receive. We cannot let our little nephew go without a proper funeral. Any help will be greatly appreciated. God bless.
Yee Yang is the uncle of Ricky Thao. Because Ricky's parents do not have a bank account, Yee Yang is listed as the beneficiary and all donations that are made out will be made out to Yee. ALL donation funds will be given to his sister Susan and brother in law, Chai Thao to cover funeral expenses.
