We are raising money to cover the costs of a life saving corrective heart surgery that Amber needs performed in the Philippines.

God is indeed gracious! He has been blessing us through His people like you.Thank you so much for the financial help you extend to us for my daughter, Amber who has been afflicted with complex cyanotic heart disease for 13 years now ("blue baby" at birth). We believe this is God's time for her complete healing. My daughter suffers a lot daily and simply wants to live a normal life with her little brother and sister.

We keep praying that she will be able to have her heart surgery by the grace of God.We are really exhausted of our resources since we have been spending a lot of money(over a million pesos) for her multiple hospitalizations that have stemmed with complications from this disease, including a brain abscess that she miraculously survived. Therefore we must now seek the help of good samaritans.

With the money we have recieved so far through my sister Gloria and Mrs. Zarek, we were able to afford Amber's hospitalization last December 30-31,2009.She underwent phlebotomy at that time to ease her shortness of breath and chest pain.Part of the money was also used to purchase her medicines prescribed from this visit.

At the time I am writing this, we have just gotten back home from Manila Medical City (5-hour drive from our home). We had to rent a car to transport Amber there. Amber was initially assessed by Dra. Malanyaon (pediatric cardiologist @ Philippine Heart Center). Amber underwent an ECG which showed normal results. However when she had her 2D-ECHO, it revealed her complex cyanotic heart disease with polycythemia, the reason why phlebotomy is required every now and then. The cardiologist ultimately prescribed a palliative surgery- a Blalork Taussig Shunt (BTS) to improve Amber's condition to ultimately survive and live a normal life. The estimated cost for this operation is half a million pesos, or about $10,000.00. We are trying our best to utilize all resources possible to meet this price. The faster we can get this surgery performed, the more successful the outlook will be for Amber.

Again thank you so much, may the grace of God be with you always.

In faith,
Carmen and Jess
(mother and father of Amber)
