HOPE FOR PAIGE is a fund for my friend, who is struggling to support her child suffering from multiple diseases. PLEASE help!

Katie Bishop is a friend and coworker of mine who is in dire need of help. She is a young, full-time working, single mother with a beautiful 2 and a half year old daughter named PAIGE. Paige, unfortunately, suffers from many ailments, and Katie is struggling both emotionally and financially to support her. Paige has a rare disease called FPIES (Food Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome) in which only about 150 other cases have been diagnosed in America. She also has a severe form of sleep apnea, and suffers seizures on a nightly basis. During many of these episodes she stops breathing for up to two minutes, and emergency medical treatment is needed. Katie is completely sleep deprived from the fear that she may lose her daughter while she sleeps.
Currently, Paige is admitted to the hospital on a weekly basis, and doctors are still struggling to diagnose the problem. And although Paige is Katie's first priority, she is not without her own problems. Katie has Melanoma (skin cancer) and has undergone multiple surgeries. She has received chemotherapy treatment 3 times a week for the last 6 months, but still has 6 months to go. She still comes to work, drained, but willing, because she needs the finances to support her daughter.
And only to add insult to injury, Katie's testimony does not stop here. She has ALREADY lost a child to illness. Her first-born son passed away at 6 months old from a heart condition... and as a mother who knows what it's like to lose a child unexpectedly, I see no greater priority than to try to help show my support... but I can't do it alone. It's my hope that Katie will be able to take some time off work to be with her daughter while she goes through this trying time.
While the doctors continue to try to find some answers, PLEASE help offer Katie some relief. I know we all are going through our own struggles, but in helping someone else, we really help ourselves. Just give what you can and I believe God will do the rest. Thank You and God Bless...
